This past week, Jen Palko with Apple Vacations was in our office and here are some of the highlights of her visit with us.
She gave us an update on the various Caribbean islands and where they’re at in recovery from hurricanes. Apple supports several causes that contribute 100% directly to those in need. The Mexico and Punta Cana resorts are still open to guests and some beaches actually got WIDER after the storms. Ie: Beach at Secrets Capri got significantly wider. More beach sounds good to us! :)

Welcome to Dreams Rivera Cancun. This is also a beautiful resort. Very kid friendly. Has a pool for the kids. They are going to be building a small slide for the kids section. This is a very upscale family resort. They have 14 different room categories. Some of them have their own plunge pools (bigger then normal plunge pools ) a lot of families get them for their kids to swim. Staff is wonderful and always there to assist you! I would recommend this for adults and families. There is also a restaurant for adults only. Their infinity pool is gorgeous!
This is excellence Rivera Cancun. This is adults only. This is beautiful! It has 9 pools and 9 restaurants. The main lobby is air conditioned, which you don’t see in many different hotels. Excellence club is very quiet and has certain places for club members only. It was a very peaceful environment and I would deff recommend it for adult getaway for honeymoons or anniversary’s. There are activities daily for all. The pools are fantastic! And rooms I have to say are my favorite! The landscape of this place is well taken care of. - Brittany (from Mexico)

I recently traveled to Ireland with Celtic Tours. After an easy overnight flight, my tour began in Dublin with a stop at the world-famous Guinness Storehouse. Spending the first night at Cabra Castle, which is said to be haunted, made the trip extra special. Typical Irish weather didn’t keep me from completely enjoying every minute!
Our driver guide, named Martin, was both informative and funny. He safely navigated the narrow streets through quaint villages like Kenmare and Bantry, as well as country roads over beautiful mountains. A stop in Cobh (pronounced “cove”) allowed time to tour the museum that told the interesting story of this last port the Titanic visited before meeting its untimely end. Roaming the grounds of Blarney Castle, walking the cobblestone streets of medieval Kilkenny, and strolling along the wild coast of Ballycotton made for some memorable afternoons.
Good food, traditional villages, and friendly people make Ireland a place I would like to visit again!
