"Travel with the Boss" to EGYPT
Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1    Friday, October 15
Depart to Egypt today. 

Day 2    Saturday, October 16
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted through customs and formalities, then transferred to your hotel.  Balance of the day is at leisure.  Overnight in Cairo. 

Day 3    Sunday, October 17
Morning drive to Alexandria across the desert road where you will visit the Catacomb of Kom El Shukafa, Alexandria National Museum, the Library at Alexandria, Roman Ampitheatre, and Montazah Palace and Gardens. Late afternoon drive back to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo. (B) 

Day 4 Monday, October 18
You will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, you will be transferred to your Nile Cruise Boat for a 5-day/4-night Nile cruise. Accommodations aboard will consist of an Outside Cabin with private facilities. Cross the Nile to the West Bank. Visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Colossi of Memnon, Queen Hatshepsut Funerary Temple, and the Valley of the Kings and Queens. (B/L/D) 

Day 5 Tuesday, October 19
Visit Luxor Temple dedicated to the god Amon-Ra. It was expanded by Ramses II, who added statues of himself. Visit the magnificent Karnak Temple. Sail to Edfu. Overnight on board. (B/L/D) 

Day 6 Wednesday, October 20
Travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the best preserved of all the large Egyptian Temples. Sail to Kom Ombo. Visit Kom Ombo Temple. Sail to Aswan. Overnight on board. (B/L/D) 

Day 7 Thursday, October 21
This morning, sail by felucca to view Elephantine Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Continue with visits to the Aswan High Dam, the granite quarries and the unfinished Obelisk, and Philae's Temple of Isis. Overnight on board. (B/L/D) 

Day 8 Friday, October 22
Optional excursion to Abu Simbel available. (Your flight continues to Abu Simbel. Visit the Great Temples of Ramses II. Stand before the colossal statue of the Pharaoh with smaller statues of his wife Nefertari and daughters at his feet. After this visit, fly to Aswan.)  Disembark the cruise and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. (B)  

Day 9 Saturday, October 23
Visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which houses the world's largest collection of artifacts from the era of the pharaohs including some belonging to King Tut. Tour Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit sites like the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Moallaka Church, where the Virgin Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus took refuge. After lunch, drive to the Islamic quarter to visit the Great Citadel and visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the "Alabaster Mosque". Enjoy a walking tour of the colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar district. Overnight in Cairo. (B/L)

Day 10 Sunday, October 24
Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the defending Sphinx, which have stood for the last 5000 years. Continue to ancient Memphis, the first capital of Upper and Lower Egypt. Also visit Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. Optional Sound and Light Show with dinner available this evening. Overnight in Cairo. (B/L) 

Day 11 Monday, October 25
You will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your return flight.  (B)
